Details
Designed by iconic Australian Naval architect Len Randell, this impressive vessel spent its early life as a commercial rock lobster vessel in WA. Superbly built of Jarrah by the renowned Coleman Brothers in Fremantle, the round bilge hull's stunning lines are both aesthetically pleasing and immensely seaworthy. The vessel concluded its working life in 1991 where it was professionally converted to a comfortable and capable long range cruiser by John Craig of Freedom Marine. This comprehensive refit involved gutting the vessel, removing its original super structure, and adding a complete new divinycell foam sandwich super structure, flybridge, and American oak trimmed interior. The current owner purchased the vessel in 2017 and cruised it from Fremantle to its current home in Launceston Tasmania. He has also enjoyed multiple trips up and down the East Coast of Australia, and utilised the vessel's impressive long range capability. The vessel has also benefited from major upgrades by Master Shipwright Rudy Dahms in recent times including HULL TAKEN BACK TO BARE TIMBER, RE-CAULKING OF THE HULL AND TOPSIDES, RAKING OUT ALL FASTENINGS AND REPLACING WITH WEST SYSTEM, RE-FIXING ALL STANCHIONS, NEW BULWARKS AND CAPPING RAIL, COVERING THE DECK PLANKING WITH 15MM PLY AND RE-FIBERGLASSING, REPLACING SOME THROUGH HULL FITTINGS AND SEA COCKS, AND REPAINTING THE TOPSIDES WITH QUALITY 2 PACK EPOXY PAINTS! Presenting in excellent condition throughout, this vessel presents a great opportunity to enjoy a superb timber vessel with all the hard work completed. Capable of fulfilling even the most ambitious cruising aspirations, this vessel is ready for its next adventure!
Stepping inside, the luxurious interior is a beautiful mix of quality timber trims and white finishes. The panoramic visibility makes this a great space to relax both underway and in your favourite anchorage. To port is the generous timber dinette, with seating for 8 in comfort on the neatly upholstered settees. The U-shaped galley has the all the amenities of a small apartment, and is well set up for extended cruising. This features a large upright fridge, 4 burner gas stove, Samsung 1000W convection/microwave oven, stainless steel sink with pressurised H/C water, and ample storage. Forward is the internal helm station with a sliding door adjacent for easy access to the side decks. This is well equipped with extensive electronics for easy navigation. The central stairs lead to the vessel's impressive accommodation. The master stateroom is to port and features a generous Pullman style double berth, with quality cabinetry and ample storage. The guest cabin is forward and has a large double v-berth, and two single berths.
