Details
The Adams 40 Centre Cockpit design is renowned for its excellent sailing ability, and are comfortable and capable Bluewater Cruisers.
Professionally built in Tasmania to an exceptionally high standard, this vessel was fitted out to be a true long distance cruiser. Having circumnavigated Australia, cruised around the Louisiades, and made multiple trips up and down the East Coast of Australia, this vessel has certainly proven its capability! It is very well set up for serious cruising with STAINLESS STEEL DAVITS AND HIGHFIELD DINGHY, SOLAR PANELS AND WIND GENERATOR, 80HP DIESEL ENGINE, A HARD SPRAY DODGER WITH EXCELLENT PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS, DIESEL HEATER, EXTENSIVE FRIDGE SPACE, GOOD ELECTRONICS, the list goes on! The vessel was purchased buy the current owner approximately 18 months ago to use as a comfortable liveaboard. Unfortunately due to ill health the vessel has suffered from a lack of maintenance during this time, and does require some work to restore it to its former glory. Along side general maintenance, the teak decks will need some attention, and this is reflected in the price.

Stepping inside, the vessel has a warm and welcoming ambience, with stunning Tasmanian timbers and white finishes. To starboard is a large dinette, with seating for 8 in comfort on the neatly upholstered settees. The U-shaped galley is to port and is well equipped for long range cruising or for a liveaboard. This features a large upright fridge, 2 burner gas stove, H/C pressurised water, and a microwave. The accommodation is ideal for cruising with family and friends. The master cabin is aft which has a generous double berth and ensuite toilet. The second cabin is forward and can be configured as a double or two singles. There is a clever system of doors to create a fully enclosed bathroom foreward with toilet, shower, and vanity. The saloon is always comfortable regardless of the temperature outside with the diesel heater and 12V fans for heating and cooling.

Outside, the cockpit is very well protected, and has an almost Pilothouse like feel. There are extensive electronics in easy reach of the wheel, and quality self tailing winches. Sail handling is a breeze with the furling headsails, and main and mizzen in boom bags. Complete with autopilot, this vessel is easily managed shorthanded, and is a joy to sail.

This vessel is powered by a reliable 80HP Ford Diesel Engine. There is excellent access for easy servicing. This engine provides easy cruising in any conditions at 5 to 6 knots.

With its charming aesthetics, excellent accommodation, and true bluewater capability, this vessel has plenty to offer. The vessel is priced for a quick sale with plenty of room for a new owner to increase its value. This presents an exceptional opportunity for someone to enjoy a capable and comfortable cruiser, which with a little bit of work will be ready for its next adventure!
