Details
With an excellent reputation as exceptionally seaworthy vessels and fast passage makers, the Adams 40 is highly regarded as a true bluewater cruiser. This vessel was professionally built in 1984 by Northshore Fabrication NSW, and has one of the best fit outs we have seen in this type of vessel. Having extensively cruised New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, and East Coast of Australia, the vessel is well equipped with an excellent inventory. Having been owned by the current meticulous owners for the last 8 years, the vessel presents in first class order through out with incredible attention to detail.

Inside, the vessel has a stunning timber fitout creating a warm and inviting saloon with room for 8 with ease. The L shaped galley is to port, and has excellent fridge and freezer space for long passages at sea, a 2 burner gas stove with oven, and ample storage. The centre cockpit design creates truely impressive accommodation, with a large master cabin aft with queen bed, seating, and an additional private single cabin which can also be used for storage. Forward is the forepeak with twin singles, and an addition quarter berth is located aft providing 7 very comfortable berths. The fully enclosed bathroom completes the accommodation and is equipped with a shower and marine toilet.

On deck, the cockpit is well set up for shorthanded sailing, with the furling headsail, and boombag with lazy jacks providing hassle use. The electronics are excellent and in clear view of the helm station, and include a Coursemaster autopilot. The sail inventory is extensive for a cruising vessel, including asymmetric Spinnaker in a sock, staysail, and multiple headsails.
