Details
Built over a number of years by renowned Tasmania Steel Boat Builder Bob Brinkman, and then purchased by the current owner to fit out, this Colin Mudie 51 really is something special! Launched NEW in 2018, it made its maiden voyage to Kettering, where it has been lovingly fitted out as a seriously capable Bluewater cruiser, and comfortable live aboard. This is a vessel where no expense has been spared, and everything has been purchased NEW for its completion. Whilst having a charming traditional feel, this is an AS NEW VESSEL! This presents an exceptional opportunity for anyone looking for a vessel that does it all. Whether you dream of exploring the most remote locations, circumnavigating the globe, or simply the ultimate waterfront apartment, this is the yacht for you!

Stepping inside, the vessel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with charming features everywhere you look. The varnished timber fit out, and modern lighting is superb. Aft is a stunning timber dinette with the U shaped settee providing seating for 8 in comfort. There are also two single day beds/pilot berths in this area. The galley is adjacent and is would be the envy of many small appartments! It features a domestic sized 4 burner gas stove with oven and grill, microwave, stainless steel sink with H/C water, 2 large upright fridges, and clever storage solutions. Forward is the saloon, ideal for relaxing with a book or watching TV, and there is ample natural light from the large forward facing windows, giving the vessel an almost Pilothouse feel. Just an easy step down leads to the large master cabin complete with a double berth, and excellent storage for longer stays onboard. The bathroom is to port with large separate shower bay, vanity, and toilet with holding tank to starboard. The interior package is complete with diesel heater for year round comfort!

On deck, the cockpit is full protected with a complete set of clears. There is excellent visibility, comfortable seating, and even a hydraulic winch for easy sail handling! The helm station has extensive latest model Simrad electronics including touch screen chart plotter, radar, autopilot with remote, radios, the list goes on! Everything on this vessel has been over engineered to be exceptionally robust and simple to use. The heavy duty dinghy davits even have a remote so you can lower or raise the dinghy while you are in it! This vessel is equipped with a furler for the headsail and boom bag with lazy jacks, for simple sail handling in any conditions. Access forward around the vessel is safe and secure with the wide side decks and solid handrails providing excellent protection. There is also a seperate workshop area in the bow with full water tight collision bulkhead.

This vessel is powered by a 120HP Ford 6 Cylinder diesel engine with only 120hrs on the clock! Whilst it is an older model engine, it was new out of the box when installed. This provides economical cruising at 6 to 7 knots with ease! The vessel is also fitted with a bow thruster to make anyone look like a rockstar when berthing in any conditions.

This is a vessel that really needs to be seen to be appreciated. Every system has been well thought out, with 240V power always available from the top of the line Victron Energy system, massive house battery banks, and there is even a back up portable genset. An inspection is highly recommended. For more information please call John Radonic on 0450322862 or Jo Breen on 0432031100.
