Details
Ex Champion half tonner under the popular IOR rule, competed in at least 4 Sydney Hobart's, and now a very competitive club racer under both PHS and AMS, this great boat presents a perfect opportunity for those looking to buy their first yacht.
It is also comfortably fitted to offer coastal cruising for a young family, a couple or a group of mates wanting to get away.
On deck the boat is well set-up to provide the race crew with all the gear to tweek the boat for optimum performance or for the boat to also be sailed short handed, with all lines lead back to the cockpit and cabin top.
The cockpit is spacious and the wide decks allow easy access around the boat.
Going below the accommodation will surprise, there is a small in built galley unit, private head area with toilet and hand basin, then two settee berths which will comfortably seat six, then further aft two quarter berths, one athwart ships double berth then two pipe cots right aft offering berths for six to eight.
The bow area is ideal for sail storage with a dedicated hanging rope stowage area here too.
The 16hp VETUS diesel engine was fully rebuilt in august 2016 and shows the benefit of good and regular maintenance, providing an easy cruising speed between 5 and 6 knots. It has only done approximately 100 hours since the re-build too.
The current owner is a very experienced sailor and has upgraded all the running gear, new halyards, new sheets, traveller lines and blocks, the list just goes on.
A very good sail wardrobe is also with the boat including a new #1 Headsail being only six months old.
PRESENTED IN VERY GOOD ORDER and still a very smart looking yacht, it is seriously for sale.
