Designed along the charming traditional lines of the Norwalk Island Sharpie, but with a modern performance orientated keel, rudder, and rig, 'Serano' is truely a wolf in sheep's clothing! The brief was simple - to create a head turning vessel, that could be easily cruised short handed whilst also offered exceptional racing performance. This vessel has achieved all this and so much more! Built by master shipwright Angelo Perry at Able Marine, the vessel is strong and capable, whilst remaining relatively light. The King Billy Pine core is fully sheathed in fiberglass for easy maintenance, and the rudder and keel are both constructed to the highest modern standards. With a stunning Tasmanian Timber interior fit out, the attention to detail with this vessel is simply remarkable. Everywhere you look there are clever features that make the vessel simply a joy to race or cruise. Stepping inside, the Tasmanian Huon Pine and Western Red Cedar fit out is beautifully paired with the clean white finishes. To port is the stunning timber dinette, with seating for 6 in comfort on the forest green stain resistant settees. The galley is ideally positioned beside the companion way, with a large Waeco fridge under the chart table, stainless steel sink with fresh water, and there is ample storage for extended stays onboard. The main accommodation is forward, with a generous double in the forepeak, and there are two single berths available in the saloon. The package is complete with bathroom with manual toilet and vanity.

On deck, the large cockpit is ideal for both the full race crew, cruising and racing short handed, and relaxing at anchor! With the Raymarine autopilot, furling headsail, mainsail in a boom bag with lazy jacks, and both the mainsheet and primary self tailing winches in easy reach of the helm, this vessel is a breeze to sail shorthanded or even single handed! For those wanting to enjoy the vessel's exceptional performance, there is also an asymmetrical spinnaker in a sock, and racing headsail to help you achieve podium finishes! All deck gear is of the highest quality, with self tailing Harken winches, and Spinlock cabin top clutches. All lines are also lead back to the cockpit for easy handling. There is easy access forward to the bow, and an electric anchor winch adds to the cruising comforts.

This vessel is powered by a well maintained 12.5HP Bukh Diesel Engine. This is accessed under the companion way, and the engine compartment has plenty of room for easily servicing. The engine provides easy and very economical cruising at 6 knots.
