The vessel started life as very competitive offshore racer out of Sydney in the 1980's/90's and competed in the 1984 Sydney Hobart and was particularly well known for an outstanding colourfully painted hull.
Under the new livery she competed in the 2010 Brisbane Gladstone race
Built in aluminium the strength of the boat has stood the test of time, with a major re-configuration in 2008 by JD Marine with the racing bustle removed from the aft area of the boat, cabin added, a fantastic cockpit fitted plus step through transom, the teak like synthetic material providing a very smart looking and practical covering on the floor, seats and coamings
Internally a full re-fit with a teak fitout was completed in 2010 to a very high standard.
The cockpit provides excellent space for a crew handling the boat whether social racing or cruising, or just relaxing at anchor.
All lines are lead aft to make short handed sailing quite effortless and the large wheel still provides great steerage and suits the new cockpit design.
The new cabin design allows great access around the boat with good side decks and for'deck areas.
Down below the owner has had the boat re-fitted with his cruising needs particularly in mind, quality teak throughout but with a light and airey saloon space a priority, accommodation sees two large single berths in their own for'ard cabins, a very large double (queen) quarter berth aft then 2 settee berths in the saloon.
The galley is well appointed with great storage, plenty of bench space and the custom designed fridge/freezers allow for long passages in warm climates (ie Queensland).
The dinette will comfortably seat 6 and has a great feature timber table too.
A fully enclosed bathroom is to port with shower and a deck shower is fitted to the transom boarding area
The massive port side storage locker with space to spare even after stowing sails, dinghy, outboard etc etc, a real bonus for longer trips
Power is from a 54hp Yanmar diesel, new in the boat in 2008 with low hours, matched to a 3 blade GORI folding prop achieving a comfortable and economical 7.5 knots cruising speed.
The boat has cruised North to the Whitsundays, and recently South to Hobart where she is now being seriously offered for sale.
It does represent very good value, the owner is committed to sell, please contact John Radonic on 0459 322 862 for more information
