Looking for a seriously fast and fun race yacht with a proven history of high profile wins? THRILLER IS THE YACHT FOR YOU! This exceptionally built Inglis 58 to a true racing machine capable of not only line hours victories but is also highly competitive on IRC. Constructed using cold-molded Orgon and Western Red Cedar with two lays of S-Glass, it then underwent a major refit in 2010 to stiffen and modernise the vessel. This included a NEW NZ RIGGING SWEPT SPREADER CARBON MAST AND BOOM, FULL RE-GLASS AND STRENGTHEN OF HULL AND DECK, AND COMPLETE RESPAY OF THE ENTIRE VESSEL, ADDED CAT 1 COMPLIANT ELECTRONICS INCLUDING HF RADIO, NEW 75HP YANMAR ENGINE WITH SAILDRIVE, the list goes on! It has been further upgraded in recent times including A NO EXPENSE SPARED CARBON SAIL WARDROBE FROM EVOLUTION SAILS WHICH PRESENTS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, and NEW 2015 STANDING RIGGING. Fully prepared for Cat 1 Offshore Racing in 2017, the vessel proved its ability by winning both Line Honours and IRC of the 2017 Fremantle to Bali Race. This vessel now presents an exceptional opportunity to continue its winning ways with all the hard work done for you!

Stepping inside, the interior of the vessel is sure to impress as this not your typical spartan race yacht. Superbly finished with varnished timber trims and floorboards, the interior has a charming classic yacht feel whilst not adding unnecessary weight to the vessel. There is comfortable accommodation for 10, ideal for the full race crew, and all berths feature neatly upholstered cushions and Lee cloths. The galley is the port and features a large fridge, 2 burner gas stove, extensive storage and ample bench space. The chart table is set up for the serious racing navigator and is well appointed with HF and VHF Radio and Sat Phone for Cat 1 racing. The package is complete with private bathroom with electric toilet and sink.

On deck, the size of the vessel is truely impressive, and the deck space is ergonomically designed for the crew to work at their best. The twin carbon wheels make the vessel a joy to steer, and there are extensive Raymarine instruments in easy sight. All winches and deck fittings are of the highest quality and present in excellent condition. The lifting keel provides excellent performance with the draft being reduced from 3.9m to 2.7m as required. With 3 tonnes of lead in the keels bulb, this is an exceptionally stiff yacht, and would certainly suit the emerging short handed offshore racing scene.

This vessel is powered by the NEW 2011 75HP Yanmar Diesel Engine which provides easy cruising in all conditions. It also features a latest design Gori 3 bladed prop with its unique overdrive function, ideal for deliveries or cruising.

This is a vessel designed way ahead of its time. Its wedge shaped hull and low freeboard make it a true downwind flyer, capable of speeds in excess of 30 knots! Easily managed with its swept spreader rig and twin wheels, this is an opportunity not to be missed! For more information please call Jo Breen on 0432031100 or John Radonic on 0459322862.

The hull was finished with WEST System epoxy resins, and two layers of unidirectional S Glass from the keel bed to the waterline. When the new swept spreader carbon rig was added in 2010, the hull was further stiffed by the addition of 450gm Double Bias E-glass run continuously from the forward section through to the stern to compensate for the additional loads generated by the more powerful rig. As the same time the topsides and deck were stripped down, and fully re-glassed to improve stiffness and ensure there were no leaks. The entire vessel was then re-finished with quality 2 pack paints top to bottom.
