A TRUE TASMANIAN MOTORSAILER/PILOTHOUSE YACHT, designed by the legendary JOCK MUIR, and crafted in magnificent HUON PINE by renowned shipwright MURRAY DRAKE in Triabunna, home of many of Tasmania's famous timber fishing fleet.
Built with no expense spared the overall presentation of this vessel is nothing short of superb!!
From the large aft cockpit with pedestal wheel steering, the great wide side decks with raised bulwarks for excellent access all round the boat, , large duckboard, the quality abounds, and the list just goes on
Take a step into the magnificent pilothouse and again the quality of the vessel is further emphasised.
The large windows finished in Armour Plate provide great all round vision when underway or simply relaxing at anchor.
The full functional internal helm station means the skipper can manage the vessel in any weather without going outside and two settees running both sides of the boat also provide comfortable seating for the crew and passengers when underway.
Down a couple of easy steps leads into the saloon with magnificent folding timber table amidships between port and starboard settees allowing up to eight around the table and then two great pilot berths providing a total of six dedicated berths and the space to add more for the casual visitors.
A fully functional galley is to starboard and great nav station with chart table to port
In the forepeak area is the full bathroom with electric toilet, handbasin and shower, all fully enclosed and with beautiful timber appointments too.
Clever use of the space is a the credit to designer Jock Muir and the magnificent timber finishes through out the boat testimony to the skills of shipwright Murray Drake
Construction can only be described as "over" built, eg every rib has a floor fitted, the planking is 1 1/2 inch Huon Pine splined, providing immense strength.
Power is from the well regarded 120hp Ford Dolphin diesel motor in first class condition, with zero oil leaks and zero oil usage, giving a comfortable cruising speed of 6.5 knots
The vessel does, like all Jock Muir designs, sail very well too and is set-up for easy handling.
The inventory is extensive with many recent upgrades including, mast removed, standing rigging and wiring replaced plus the spar itself fully refurbished in 2015, new refrigeration in 2018, all gas lines and fittings renewed in 2016, separate freezer, as new Smev 4 burner gas stove with oven, 3 anchors with 2 X 450ft chain on board, Muir electric anchor winch, good electronics including 24nm radar, 3 headsails, i mainsail plus storm sails, excellent dinghy davits with dinghy and outboard, great duckboard giving easy boarding access from a tender, plus plus......
