Designed by one of the Australia's premier Naval Architects, Peter Joubert, the Bounty 43 is a fast, safe, and capable bluewater cruiser. This vessel has an impressive history including completing the 1987 Melbourne to Osaka Double Handed Race, winning the cruising division of the Three Peaks Race, a year long cruise of the Pacific, and multiple double handed cruising trips up and down the East Coast of Australia. Having benefited from fastidious owners over the vessels life, it presents in excellent condition, ready for local or offshore cruising.

Inside, the traditional timbers and freshly upholstered seating are stunning. To port, the U shaped galley is well equipped with a fridge, freezer, two burner gas stove, excellent bench space, and is well laid out for cooking at sea. Opposite is a true chart table with excellent electronics and seat, perfect for the most discerning navigator. The saloon is spacious with a large dinette and room for 10 in comfort. Aft is the Master cabin, a real feature of the centre cockpit design. This cabin has a large double, seating area which can be used as another single berth, and ample storage for extended stays on board. A second cabin forward of the saloon also contains a double and single berth, with additional accommodation available in the saloon, and 8 comfortable berths in total.

On deck, the vessel is very well set up for shorthanded sailing, with all essential controls being easily reached from the helm station. The furling headsail, boombag with lazy jacks, and autopilot with remote control add to the ease of use, making the vessel well suited to a cruising couple. Having been both cruised and lightly raced, the sail inventory for the vessel is impressive and includes multiple composite headsails which can be used on the furler. The vessel is equally as competent under motor and features a NEW 2015 53HP Volvo which easily provides 6-8 knots of cruising speed in any conditions. The hull is also immaculate, having been fully sand blasted in 2018, epoxy coated, and presents with a race yacht like finish.

Vessels with this pedigree, capability, and extensive inventories don't come along often. This Bounty 43 really is something special, and with full Australian Registration, is ready to sail anywhere in the world. Whether you are looking for a family cruising yacht, offshore passage maker, or even a liveaboard, this vessel does it all in comfort and style.
