Details
Launched in 1968, beautifully constructed by master shipwright Cuthbertson, designed by Max Creese and built in strip planked Huon Pine over triple laminated Huon Pine frames, this superb vessel is testimony to the skills that have made quality Tasmanian boats widely respected and highly sought after.
The design brief culminated in the unique mix of the sea worthiness of a Tasmanian fishing boat with the style and cruising features of a true pilothouse motorsailer, this has been achieved in every possible way and enhanced by the rigorous maintenance programme undertaken by the current owners
From the wide side decks providing excellent access all round the boat, to the high bulwarks, large cockpit then moving inside, one soon appreciates the quality and seaman-like practical features being offered.
Step through the full height door into the pilothouse and be immediately impressed, the galley is to starboard, settee for the crew to relax when underway to port and then just for'ard is the helm station with great instrumentation/electronics all within easy reach.
Full side doors on both sides of the boat make berthing easy when short handed plus excellent all round vision is provided by the large windows.
Its a few easy steps for'ard down into the main saloon area, a feature is the beautiful saloon table with settees both sides comfortably seating eight, access to the fully enclosed bathroom with shower is adjacent, with the large for'ard cabin offering a true double or two singles in a vee berth configuration.
A pilot berth is above the starboard settee, bringing the total accommodation to five berths.
The 120hp Ford diesel motor allows the boat to cruise effortlessly at seven knots plus will push the easily driven hull through any sea way plus will sail well.
This is truly a boat one would be proud to own, just antifouled, anodes and prop speed in May 2019, it is ready for the coming summer, just step aboard and enjoy.
