The Mottle 33 is one of the most popular Australian designed and built cruisers/racers, and it is renowned for its excellent sailing performance and exceptional accommodation. These vessel boast true versatility with many completing serious Bluewater passages, whilst also being competitive club and twilight racers. With a great reputation of their safety and comfort, they continue to be highly sort after. This vessel is an excellent example of the design presenting in first class condition. The current owner has had the vessel since 1999 and has been fastidious with its care and maintenance. Under his ownership the vessel has been a successful competitor in social club racing and cruised extensively around Tasmania.

Stepping inside, the vessel presents in excellent condition with stunning blue upholstery and varnished timber trims. To starboard is the L shaped galley which features a modern Corian style black bench top, 2 burner metho stove, and sink with both fresh and salt water taps. Opposite is a chart table with large icebox below. This features a VHF Radio, and Laptop with charts which will suit the most discerning yachtsman. The accommodation is always a great feature in the Mottle 33, and this one is no exception. The large double berth in the master cabin is well appointed with excellent storage. There is a second spacious double berth forward, and two single settee berths available when extra accommodation is required. The package is complete with private bathroom with electric toilet and holding tank.

On deck, the deep and safe cockpit is well set up with excellent electronics including Course Master Autopilot ideal for sailing short handed. Sail handling is simple with the furling Genoa and mainsail in a boom bag with lazy jacks. This vessel is also well set up for serious offshore sailing with a removable inner forestay connecting just behind the Furler which allows the storm jib and smaller working jibs to be hanked on without removing the genoa. Moving forward, there is an electric anchor winch on the bow with 50m of chain.

This vessel is powered by a 30HP Nanni Diesel engine with only 1273 hours on the clock. This presents in immaculate condition having been fastidiously maintained since it was installed. This provides easy cruising at 5 to 6 knots.
