A great example of these very popular timeless cruiser/racer Joe Adams designs.
Many recent upgrades, including AS NEW 40HP VOLVO DIESEL MOTOR with sail drive and top of the range 3 blade folding Volvo propeller, standing rigging recently replaced in stages, as new covers, plus a quality fitout completed by the boats first shipwright owner.
The added bonus of being a HIGH SIDED model provides great headroom in the saloon area (6ft 4ins plus) better access to the aft cabin which also has full sitting headroom.
The excellent galley includes 2 burner gas stove with good sized oven, stainless steel sink with hot/cold pressurised water, and absolutely heaps of storage.
The saloon area has a double sided folding table, this will comfortably seat six people, and a large double vee berth is for'ard and can be isolated from the saloon.
A chart table is to the port side with fridge under, the fully enclosed bathroom has toilet, hand basin and shower including hot/cold water.
A single pilot type berth is fitted in the access area to the aft cabin, both areas again with plenty of good storage.
The aft cabin is a real feature of this design, a huge berth ( king size) gives true separation from the saloon and for'ard berth areas making it ideal for families or two couples to overnight comfortably with private cabins.
The 40hp Volvo diesel gives good cruising speed of six plus knots, the Mottle 33 has always been regarded as a well performing vessel under sail, the centre cockpit is well set-up for easy handling when short handed (the current owner cruises frequently on his own) with pedestal wheel steering, instrumentation in full view, and all protected by the dodger.
At anchor the cockpit allows good seating for six + people and has the aft full beam seat fitted to the pushpits, also allowing a great spot when underway.
We can confidently recommend this as a very complete vessel, ideal to use as a serious cruiser, a club racer particularly for twilight's and Wednesday afternoons or even as a liveaboard.
