Details
Highly regarded for their versatility, sailing performance, and ease of handling, the Pearson 36 remains highly sought after. Designed by Bill Shaw (USA), many of these capable vessels cruised extensively, and offered the stability and manageability to be ideal for anything from a first family yacht, through to serious offshore cruising. This vessel is an excellent example of the design and is one of a few that were built in Australia in the 1980s in NSW. Having been enjoyed for many years as a local cruiser, the current owner has completed significant upgrades in recent times including A NEW 2016 VETUS 35HP DIESEL ENGINE (WITH ONLY 198HRS ON THE CLOCK!), NEW 2024 STANDING RIGGING, NEW 2024 BOOM BAG WITH LAZY JACKS, NEW 2020 MUIR ELECTRIC ANCHOR WINCH, DECKS PROFESSIONALLY RE-PAINTED 2024, the list goes on. This vessel now offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy a vessel of this capability with the hard work already done. Whether you want to cruise the stunning waters of Southern Tasmania, fulfil your most ambitious sailing aspirations, or even enjoy the liveaboard lifestyle, this is a vessel that can do it all in comfort.

Stepping inside, the spacious interior is a charming mix of traditional timber trims and clean white finishes. To port is the folding leaf dinette with seating for 6 in comfort on the neatly upholstered settees. The well appointed galley is ideal for preparing meals underway. It features a 3 burner gas stove with oven, large top loading fridge, stainless steel sink with fresh water, and excellent storage for longer stays onboard. The accommodation onboard is excellent for cruising with family and friends and includes a generous double v-berth forward, two single settee berths with small bunks/storage above, and two quarter berths aft. Well set up for comfortable cruising all year round, the vessel is kept warm thanks to the Webasto diesel heater, and features a portable (camping style) hot water system. The package is complete with a private bathroom with electric toilet and vanity.

Outside, the comfortable cockpit is a great space to relax in the protection of the spray dodger and bimini. The vessel is well set up for easy short handed sailing with the furling headsail, mainsail in NEW boom bag with lazy jacks, Raymarine autopilot, and NEW electric anchor winch on the bow. The sailing performance of this vessel is sure to please even the most discerning sailing, whilst also remaining easily managed by a novice.

This vessel is powered by a NEW 2016 Vetus 35HP 4 Cylinder Diesel Engine. With only 198hrs on the clock this provides true reliability and comfortable cruising at 5 to 6 knots.

With so many upgrades, and its good presentation, this vessel offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy a Summer of sailing! For more information please call Jo Breen on 0432031100 or Jack Allison on 0411214402.
