Purchased to compete in the 2018 Melbourne Osaka 2 Handed Yacht Race, the fastidious owner embarked on this ambitious project by undertaking major works ensuring the boat was in the best possible condition, fitted with the best possible equipment and set-up to be very competitive for this epic race.
All the hard work (and considerable expense) paid off, achieving a very credible SECOND PLACE.
The boat is presented in EXCELLENT ORDER, the interior has a real WOW feel to it when stepping below, open, airey, uncluttered, and the freshly varnished timber work is in great condition.

-Steve Walker Kevlar Mainsail (New 2018), Steve Walker Kevlar Headsail, Furling 130% (New 2018), Steve Walker Staysail / Heavy weather Jib for inner forestay (new 2018)
-New Dovell designed Carbon Fibre Rudder (Carbon stock and blade) rudder tube bored out and new bearings fitted.
-Wheel replaced with Stainless steel Tiller and traveller moved aft for ideal single handed cockpit layout.

Twin spreader, Keel stepped. Custom made mast head to allow for small square top on Mainsail and maximum roach.
All standing rigging made out of pre-stretched dynex with technora chafe guard on key areas. This saved 90% of the weight of the original standing rigging and has 5 X the breaking load of the wire it replaced. All turnbuckles new with new rig and the chain plates were removed and crack tested before being resealed.
All Running rigging New in 2017 including all halyards replaced with Dyneema with Technora covers from Almast.
Furlex Furler completely rebuilt in 2017.
