A TRUE PILOTHOUSE/MOTORSAILER, the STUART 47 is regarded as one of the best SERIOUS BLUEWATER CRUISING YACHTS designed and built in Australia.
The design is akin to well known Scandinavian pilothouse yachts with an angled forward pilothouse, spacious side decks allowing easy access around the boat and an easily driven hull making for fast passages whether under sail or motor.
The "Scheel" style keel ensures easily handling and great manoeuvrability with the added benefit of being a shallower draft.
The pilothouse features full height doors to both sides allowing for fast external access, great when berthing, and providing excellent ventilation on those warmer days. The large windows give great 360 degree vision, plus a real feeling of spaciousness, good seating is fitted for helmsman and crew, and even has a large pilot berth for use when making those longer passages, again testimony to the boats design heritage.
The sail controls are cleverly lead to enable handling internally and made easy with the self tailing Andersen winches.
Accommodation is equally spacious throughout the vessel, a few steps down into the main cabin area with very functional galley to port and nav station with chart table to starboard. A feature is the lovely timber saloon table which seats 8 plus comfortably when including the settee opposite, and plenty of storage with feature glass front lockers on both sides.
For'ard again to the second bathroom and another double cabin offering a double Vee berth or two singles's.
Access to the aft cabin is also via the pilothouse, and this features walkaround double bed, full ensuite bathroom with separate shower bay, plenty of storage too providing a real "owners" zone but still within reach of the action when underway.
NOTE: Plenty of headroom throughout with a minimum of 185cm
Plenty of power is provided by the 90hp Perkins diesel engine, just fully serviced, and the Kubota genset, again just serviced, allows constant 240V power when in use, both easily accessible under the pilothouse floor.
The electrical systems include wind generator and solar power making the boat very self sufficient when cruising plus has 240V shorepower fitted
The electronics inventory is extensive and will meet most requirements. Plus the current owner has undertaken a major maintenance programme to ensure all systems are fully functional and will sustain the rigours of offshore cruising.
The boat is seriously for sale and priced accordingly, please call John Radonic on 0459 322 862 for more information.
