A GREAT OPPORTUNITY, do the 75th SYDNEY HOBART and then the JANUARY 2020 IRC NATIONALS here in Hobart post race.
JUST LISTED!! A SYDNEY 38, presented in very good order which would be a great platform to use to participate in these iconic events.
The timeless design speaks for itself, one of the most successful production yachts built in Australia and still enjoying fleet racing at some clubs plus always competitive under IRC particularly offshore.
This yacht has recently undergone a considerable refurbishment programme and now presents in excellent condition.
The large cockpit is designed for maximum efficient crew performance, all the gear is right up to date, the large carbon wheel provides easy handling for the helmsman and good electronics are also fitted including mast repeaters.
Down below the fitout allows for a very spacious saloon, good galley to port and full nav station to starboard, plus double quarter berth aft of the galley and king single to starboard. Good sail and gear storage is in the for'ard area.
The Sydney 38 design can also double as a performance family cruiser, good accommodation already fitted plus the for'ard area could be adapted to take an easily removed vee berth, remove the race sails, put on the cruising set and head away for as long as time allows.
The 30hp Yanmar sail drive gives an easy 6 to 7 knots cruising under motor
These are great boats, don't miss this opportunity.
