Details
Van De Stadt designs are renowned for their excellent sailing ability, well laid out interiors, and elegant lines. This vessel is an excellent example of this, having been successfully raced in Southern Tasmania since its launch in 1965. It later underwent a significant modification in the late 1980's where the legendary Terry Bragg lengthened the vessel by 4ft, further improving its already impressive sailing performance. From then it went on to win multiple Crown series, pennants, and twilight series. Well maintained through out its life, the vessel is also well equipped as a comfortable cruiser. It features AN ELECTRIC ANCHOR WINCH, FURLING HEADSAIL, NEW 2017 STANDING RIGGING, A SOLAR PANEL, MARINE TOILET, AND 15HP YANMAR DIESEL ENGINE! Presented in good condition, it would suit anyone looking for an economical first yacht, social racer, or could even be utilised as a live-aboard if desired!

Stepping inside, the charming varnished timber, and white hull gives the vessel and light and airy ambience. There are three full length single berths, and plenty of space to relax. The galley is to port and features a sink with fresh water, and plenty of storage space. Forward is a manual marine toilet, and there is excellent storage space in the forepeak.

On deck, the generous cockpit has plenty of space for all the crew. Sail handling is a breeze with the furling headsail, mainsail in a boom bag with lazy jacks, all lines lead back to the cockpit, and self tailing primary winches. For those that want to sit back and enjoy the view, there is a comfortable princess seat on the transom. The wide side decks allow easy access forward, and there is an electric anchor winch with foot switch on the bow.

This vessel is powered by a Yanmar 15HP Diesel Engine. This provides easy and economical cruising at 5 to 6 knots.

With all the cruising features you could need, and the exceptional Van De Stadt pedigree, this vessel represents a very rare opportunity to enjoy sailing for a minimal investment. Priced to sell, an inspection is highly recommended. For more information please call Jo Breen on 0432031100 or John Radonic on 0459322862.
