Details
Originally commissioned by a repeat client with hull #1 launched in the summer of 2025, the new Delta Powerboats 72 integrates timeless craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology and performance. Developed in collaboration with Mannerfelt Design with an enduring carbon fibre construction and sociable deck arrangements, the 72 is intended to excel with large day parties and longer voyages, offering unmatched cruising comfort, pace and efficiency. The 72 makes for the ultimate extended passage express cruiser with unrivalled fuel efficiency at its cruise speed of 30 knots - the perfect vessel for cruising up and down Australia's coastlines.

Buyers have the opportunity to choose between a twin Volvo-Penta IPS-1350 inboard or a quadruple Mercury V12-600 outboard drivetrain, providing cruise speeds of 30 or 40 knots and a WOT result of 40 or 50 knots, all while producing fuel consumption figures never seen before in this segment. Optioned with Volvo's 1350 IPS engines, the 72 provides a comfortable, sustainable, and compliant cruise of 30 knots, consuming just 7.4 L/nm - better than most 45-50ft flybridge cruisers see at 20 knots.

Regardless of choice, the 72 is designed to deliver a fascinating on-the-water experience supported by generous toy storage, a transformer lifting platform and a tender garage with an included Williams 345 SportJet tender. The exterior deck areas include multiple options for lounging, providing comfortable outdoor seating for more than twenty guests with three different sun lounges spread across the deck and rooftop.

The indoor saloon and lounge area benefits from Delta's signature light and airy interiors, thanks to exceptionally thin mulions bordering the expansive main deck windows. The ability to be able to do this comes from Delta's adoption of a full carbon fibre construction, making for a remarkably strong vessel and superstructure. Although carbon fibre construction is light and strong, naturally, it is a noisier construction method for performance vessels. Delta has overcome this with a fully-insulated and soundproofed hull, making the 72 quieter, faster, more efficient and stronger than any other vessels in its segment. The main deck features a spacious galley at the aft, which can be equipped and configured to your liking, while a spacious settee sits forward of that. Twin forward-facing and transformable bench settees are positioned at the helm and to the port side for the navigators. The helm comes fully-equipped with Garmin's intuitive Glass Cockpit, joystick docking controls, Dynamic Positioning and side push functions. Twin side access doors allow for easy maneuverability on deck from the helm and to either side.

Below deck, the interior accommodates eight guests across four ensuite cabins, consisting of a full-beam master stateroom with a King-size berth, a forward VIP guest double cabin, a starboard double cabin and a fourth twin bunk cabin. An additional and generous crew cabin features a twin bunk configuration. All cabins benefit from full en-suite bathrooms that feature separate shower stalls, including for crew.
